LOST LOVEA Poem by Shweta Sunil
A divine love, yet too finite--
Grabbed by Time, too imbecile. Housed,by a sun that failed to shine. To grasp all that once belonged, Shed by a distance that never longed. A lover that fostered a love too naive, A love too dear, too dear to chase-- Fed by a heart that was forced to be sane, A fetish overcome by a passion too fierce-- Revered by a silence too painfully farce. A finite love, yet too divine, With a frail soul,a fragile shrine. For this hour,it shall forever remain-- For the heart that fought and loved in vain. The stars, that were too crippled to shine, 'Twas, the day, The day the world ceased to be mine. © 2016 Shweta SunilFeatured Review
