DUSK

DUSK

A Poem by Shweta Sunil

As the sun dips below the mountains
As the smoked clouds fizz away
As the vapour filters through the sunlight
As the dust dances it's way through the light
As the roasted mud absorbs the moisture
The cracked ground--the truth it soaks
The truth of life
Heals everything that's broke
And the beads of sweat
That were born by dawn
Were all gone
As Dusk grasped the sun from Dawn’s womb
And draped it with the orange skies’ tomb.

The above lines were my favorite. You left reader with short statements opening the door to thoughts to ponder. Poetry support to make the mind wander and think. This poem did. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
