THE HALT.

And suddenly,
The stars stopped shining
The world stopped moving
The heart stopped loving
The hurt stopped aching

And suddenly,there was
No love
No sight
No emotion
No light
Just what was dreaded--silence

Silence--
Quiet,curbing,silence
Lost, infinite, silence
Then the halt
The halt of the beginning
The beginning of the end.

And you realise
The very reason for the hurt
You let it go
Till letting go
Hurts some more.
