Hope Lost

I was laying in bed, just minutes ago when my mind as it often does went into overdrive. In the midst of it all this is what came out so I thought it's a nice time to put it here before I pen it ...

Where there is no hope
There is no direction
I'm trapped in this darkness
Searching for my lost reflection.

I use to see with such clarity
I use to know my own destiny
Hope was constant never wavering
Now I'm beaten, broken
The darkness my life is favoring

I see a light I rush for it
The cave is shut
all exits blocked
I'll never escape from it

Will you come
Will you fight for me now
I'm so lost my heart is numb

I feel your warmth, just outside these walls
Can you hear my desperate calls....
