"

this is a textbook example of a rant.

"

have you ever wondered why

the tip of a fingernail happens to be

the exact shape of the crescent moon?

or that the Eye of God (or Helix Nebula)

located seven hundred light years away

happens to have all the colors of that one cousin’s eyes?

located seven hundred miles away

did you notice that all that empty space

inbetween the stars and planets and galaxies and moons
reminds you of the loneliness
inbetween the laughter and smiles and photographs and moments?

could it be that God really isn’t so original

to create a different shape for fingernails

or a different shade of blue for your cousin

or a different feeling between the stars?

it’s not that He isn’t original;

He’s trying to show us something

prove a point, smart one

that we’re all relative
we all revolve around each other

we are all connected by our similarities

(the need to love and be loved, for one)

and we should focus on the similarities

instead of killing each other over differences
