Guardian AngelsA Poem by Amna M.Guardian Angels The most underappreciated beings- Their affection and tender words are taken
for granted, Almost expected. Not everyone is blessed with them, But the ones who have them, only a few
acknowledge them. The reason why each one of us breathes today. Take a minute and feel their presence, For if it were not for them, there would be
no trace of your presence. Mother- you endured nine months of
unbearable pain To hear the innocent laugh and cry of the
little life that doubled your heartbeat. A bittersweet pain only you know of. The one who has the ability to
whole-heartedly support and harshly criticize simultaneously The one whose dreams became a reflection of
mine The one whose prayers became a chance to
plead for my happiness A pure emblem of devotion, wisdom, and
paradise. Every word seems flimsy when describing the
art of your giving, Infinite perhaps, for your love is
unconditionally limitless. Mother-I owe this life that I have been
endowed with to you. Father-your idea of discipline always
startled me. At first, little did I know it was out of
love to provide shelter Mistaken as I had been, I continued to
struggle in finding words for our accord I assure you today that the eyes see more More than they ever have. The one who has practiced and perfected the
act of kindness The one whose silent actions speak larger
than his words The one whose spirited humor colors the cold
atmosphere Spreading my own little wings at free will
is something you have greatly taught me Whether it be through agitation towards you
or the strength for you. Father- I learned and I understand. My Guardian Angels, the chosen ones by the
Lord- I write this for you, Attempting to express the inexplicable. I do not only fancy angels residing in
heaven, Since that would be robbing you both of your
essence. Now, the world awaits my steps And the journey continues with endless
possibilities. All because of you. Only because of you. © 2012 Amna M.Author's Note
