Sweet Butterfly

Sweet Butterfly

A Poem by Alli
"

Recovery

"
Don't be shy
Sweet butterfly
Spread your wings and say goodbye
To this world which drags you down
Spread your wings and fly up high
Away from all your fears
And all of the tears
Which stain your eyes.

Don't you cry
Dear butterfly
This pain will go when you defy
The cage of conformity
The pain will go when you rely
On the soul that's left inside you
On your courage that's beside you
I won't discourage the dreams
Within your eyes.

Don't you lie
My butterfly
Don't you try and just squeeze by
With words that have no truth.
Don't you try and just survive
And never live your youth
And never live the life you want
Because then it will daunt you
And haunt you
And you'll never want
To say goodbye: I'll see the saddness in your eyes.

Don't you try
Good butterfly
To just sit there and justify
Your untrue fears
To just sit there and never fly
Away from here
Because you need a change
But don't  estrange.
You must exchange and rearrange the perfect lie
You see
Inside your eyes.

Don't deny,
Fair butterfly,
Yourself the love you need to thrive
In this world of hate
Please don't deny
Yourself the choice to live or die
In this world of hardships
This world of pain
This world of suffering
Darkness and rain
You see with tainted, and stained
Eyes.

Don't be shy
Sweet butterfly
I am here to help you fly
Away from this world of self destruction
I am here to help to guide
You in your quest of reconstruction.

Dear butterfly,
Don't be afraid
You will be fine
Just spread your wings
And say goodbye
Just spread your wings
And you shall fly.
