Falling

Falling

A Poem by Sarah
"

It can be terrifying to let yourself fall

"

My mind has been wandering

Consumed by thoughts of you

I can’t help but wonder

If you’re thinking of me too

My body is longing for your caress

Lips are craving the taste of your kiss

Wrapped up in your arms, our bodies so close

I can’t deny, that this feels like home

Do you feel the same? I can only guess

Is this just temporary?

Will you disappear and leave my heart distraught

Because, darling I’m ready to go all in

Willing to take a shot

That this could be what I’ve been waiting for

If I can silence the fear and allow myself to fall

And if I let myself fall

Will you be there to catch me?

Heaven knows I could fall so hard for you

So, I’ll take this leap

Hoping my affection will be returned

Even though I’m terrified of rejection and these feelings for you that burn

You are most definitely worth the risk
