The Open GateA Poem by AmethyPersonification'sIf
you listen carefully to the depths of the evergreen, you’ll hear the bitter moans and
sorrow cries, of Suffering and Longing. The brother and sister duet, that
can’t be with out each other. They’ll stalk you together, with
their rag and regret. Raised by the whip of mother Pain and the low self esteem of father Dough.
When they left their parents in a horrid escape, they shouldn’t have gone to Uncle Greed who made Suffering suffer, when he
took his life away. Now Suffering walks with a limp, of
the agonizing pain in his leg. He shouldn’t have taken his baby
sister, to Aunt Depression. For when she killed her self the
little girl was damaged. She cries and morns for the one she called mom, who she though would take her away from the burning scars. They come into your house, and invite themselves in, not caring if they’re welcomed or not. A family member they will choose, to bring
down to their level too. So be observant, because they’re
sneaky. They’ll torture they’re vitamin by
suffocation, taking ever last breath and ounce happiness from them. Be careful because if they stay too
long, their family traits will soon resurface. For with too much Suffering, they
will become greedy, or too much Longing, they will
become depressed. You can stop them by stopping one
thing, The pain and dough that the person
brought up, should be dealt with sure enough. Don’t be fool by a small smile, or a
cheerful attitude. Just look in their eyes because
they’re an open gate, an open gate to whom inside. You’ll see Suffering and Longing
standing by. © 2011 Amethy |
