What is pain? Well this may be the answer you are looking for.

What is the worst pain?

Is it the breaking of the sensitive skin, 

of one finger tips

gliding on the edge of the paper?

Or the hand that crushes their cheek?

The knife to the gut?

Oh what is the worst pain?

What is the worst pain?

Is it the regret of what you did,

or betrayal of what they said?

The casket that drifts down into the dirt,

never knowing what could've been?

For what is the worst pain? 

What is the worst pain?

Is is physical or emotional?

You can beat up some one and shot them in the back.

But they can survive and then attack back.

Emotions are sometime the key to the heart,

but someone could be broken beyond repair.

To where crushing their emotions fells like burning a strand of hair.

So what is the worst pain? 

What is the worst pain?

It's different for all, 

but we'll all experience the same thing,

may it be beating of the skin or heart. 

In different ways they see the same light.

Apart of the road, that you've just walked.

For the worst pain may be,

Neither is it physical or emotional,

The worst pain I believe are the memories.
