Midnight Run

Midnight Run

A Poem by amenimity
"

poem by KC writer Joni Wilson aka Amenimity

"
If only I could forgive myself
Accept to win what I had won
Humbling myself by ruining earned wealth
All the years of running,
where did I even run?

All the walls
And after it all
By letting no one in
I never allowed myself to be free
The only one I hurt was me

If only I could allow my dreams to come true
Only to walk away from all I had gained
Can't chip my bitterness as I had blamed it on you
After all the running,
I only ran from me and lost opportunities

All the walls
And after it all
By letting no one in
I never allowed myself to be free
The only one I hurt was me
