Last Dance

Last Dance

A Poem by amenimity

poem by KC writer Joni Wilson aka Amenimity

"

I have no where to go

And today I felt what I never felt before

Grey eyed through anything I see

I give you credit for passing

The only test in life should be

You're just like me

Nobody matters to me

Into this night I walk upon myself and see

I have nothing

And I'd do anything to believe

I gave a soul to my only grave

And I promise I've shed

Only what I bled for you

You threw me away

You threw me away, stay

If I could the sky I'd say "Oh, what a beautiful day I've come upon."

And I look at myself one last time and I realize it's all gone

It's all gone

Into this day I give you my only breath that I breathe

And I say okay to the lovely mess and he wrips her dress

To find I'm dead in the morning

What she gave herself, was what he killed for me

And what he got was what he gave to me

I give you one last time

I gave you too many you see

I'm not as wonderful and as happy as I seem

She closes her eyes, sleeping but never to dream
