You are my rationalization when the world is spinning

My tranquility when my brain can’t stop thinking

You calm me like an ocean

And what could I possibly offer?

What do you give to someone that seems to have it all?

And if I fear tomorrow

I’ll make it right today

And if I forget the past

Swimming like a tidal wave

I’ll love the confusion until it’s gone away

You are comfort in a hard, lonely world

My sensibility in a rushed, tax-raping work world

You relax me like a sunset in the mountains

And what could you possibly gain from me?

What do teach someone who seems to have read it all before?

And if I fear our future

I’ll make it up today

And if I tame my past

Freeing like a summer day

I’ll love the illusion until it’s gone away
