 I believe in love

And I have hope

I see these drifters around me

And I realize

I’m neither above

I see the scope

Of what these hurting really need

Each other

He tells me hurtful things

And I accept

Most graciously

He thinks he’s done nothing wrong

And I am no one to judge

To feel this

To fix all the things that have gone wrong

And to pick up the pieces

Where’s the pride?

I believe I am strong

In my mind

I see these wonders around him

And I realize

I’m so wrong

Line after line

And these hopeless fear again

Each other

He tells me I’m not patient

And I expect too much

Of everyone that I see

I blocked him from my life

And from the club

That we first met

So now I ask them both,

Was it all worth it

In the end
