that sinking feelingA Chapter by Lyn Andersonwashed the poems with the rest of my laundryOpened the notepad on my shiny new phone so I could post one of 30 odd poems I had tucked away. then it hit me like the time I threw my jeans in with the napkins from the bar after I hooked up with whatshisface -- his phone number wasn't the worst of it. it was the poems I jotted down as I crunched my ice cubes. in my excitement over my new phone I was a little quick with the security wipe on the old one. just as effective as a Maytag without the paper bits stuck to my favourite pink sweater to remind me of the words I lost.
