"Sometimes it floats," SHH It' s you. Pennywise must have known you personally ...
lobotomy
Scraping at what's left of my love for something that was always a lie. Poking holes in my fragile piece of mind -- enlisting an army of memories to push just the right buttons. negotiation ceases to be an option when the enemy refuses to put down his weapon. so hell bent on winning, he forgot he isn't a king, and children are not pawns.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You aren't all that.
"I will bury you, reduce you to tears just with my words."
I am paraphrasing, mind you, it's been a while since I have actually listened to one of your diatribes.
You are still the same. attempting to bury me in Arial type face, menacing me in Times New Roman ...
...But You are not the You you once were...
all encompassing enthralling exciting then ever so slowly exsanguinating -- we became mere existence extraneous to the new him who swallowed the you and spat out the leftovers unceremoniously exiled to the he.
This was wonderful. You led the reader to many places and many thoughts. I liked the use of Stephen King's "It'. I liked the honest tone and directness of your words. Thank you Lyn for sharing the amazing poetry.

Interesting collection of observations, seemingly related becuz of a running theme of bad relationship experiences perhaps? I honestly do not follow the first one, but I love the ingenious idea of the second one. Lobotomy is such a bizarre concept to begin with & it resembles what can happen in a twisted relationship. The third one is so relatable & it’s creative to mention typeface to suggest written communications. The last one is notable becuz of your wordplay on the “e” words. Perfect complex word selections to pump up the drama (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

The first poem matches with the rest. Referencing a King book from a few years back. Long story. Nice one KL, and you will always be KL to me.

Hmmm- mind can be gruesome and unkind- if occupied by the darkness of demons and dancing deities - deep, scary in truth- many avoid to believe- love the way you wrote this and set it up🌹
"exiled to the he" i love it! when our demon fears take on a physical shape they do us a favor as those of the mind can be so much more the "trickster" ..yet we all will face them one way or another .. when we understand it is our own fear that gives them power is the wondrous beginning of their end .. :) myself and my children have read and re-read "It" many times and when the movie came out we were all glued to the set .. he is a horrific clown for sure ...the story so unsettling that even a victorious ending seems insufficient .. as fears do linger ..don't they!? :}

Thank you for going back a bit and taking the time.
Superb KL. How they were and how they are, without the rose tinted's on. If only we realised earlier those damn glasses were stuck to our faces all that time. :)
Liked the pennywise reference too :)

thank you. Yes and some things like sh IT keep floating to the surface.:)
I love Stephen King and "It" was a terrifying read ( yes I admit to keeping the lights on when I went to bed...)
"it's dark down here"... I liked your comparison of that "Clown" and the "he" who took advantage and has caused you pain... very appropriate comparison both monsters feeding on you... and too I think of the defeat of both and the liberating feeling... remember in the book (and TV movie) she comes back to herself as they were riding that bike, free wheeling down that long steep hill going like crazy.... like they were free!!! I felt this gust of cool air rushing past my face as I read your poem KL... and I felt happy !!! hopefully that "piece" of mind will become a peace of mind.... ;0)
