Visions of light

Visions of light

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson

"
Transference of light
and thought
so comforting
souls transforming,
energy and matter
not destroyed;
reborn.

Creationist visions,
religions ...
born out of our
need to believe,
that after the
light,
there isn't just
dark.

Darkness is simply the absence of light. The Big BangTheory plausible explanations that everything started from chaotic to order and stars and planets reborn just by randomly colliding.

It reminds of Einstein's saying that energy cannot be destroyed, it only transforms into another form, and that is I believe true to life too... A famous scientist once said that a human mind has the power to destroy to two cities like New York, he was referring to the power of mind... I think there is something that begins right after we think it's the end... There is no end, only new beginning... A very thought provoking write KL...

Thank you for your thoughtful review.:)
there are great works of art from music to painting to poetry and more all created to this hope for "light" or something more than our finite lives which for the vast majority of humanity are filled with pain and sorrow.... and these vast multitudes also have some kind of "faith" and it reminds me of how at one time the vast multitudes believed that the sun revolved around the earth and the earth was flat....

we get one shot, one life to live.. how we live it and whether it makes the world better for everyone is the real "light", one life even if we would hope for more...

I believe there is more. Something inside me says it is so. There must be something greater because all that is less certainly did not build all that is or inspire all that will be.

Anytime. :)
A beautiful rendering of this thought. Einstein said energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another. Whether or not we believe in religion is immaterial. Our 'energy' will survive. Therefore, I suppose out of darkness there is light. Thanks again, this may be the first time I've inspired a poem.

I am glad you liked it. Thanks for the inspiration, and the review.
Your message is thought-provoking & gracefully stated. I've taken issue with religion becuz of a focus on what comes after life here on earth . . . I don't care about that. It's a construct of our imaginations, since we can't know anything. I prefer a spiritual belief that helps in the here & now. That being said, your message would resonate with most who do care about what comes next.
