A Three way birthday!

A three way collaboration birthday poem for barleygirl aka Margie

up there somewhere
where there's less people, more tree,
lives an extraordinary girl named Margie,
she goes by the name of barley,
and her "favourite ride" is a boy, not a Harley .

out there, where trees touch night stars
and hummingbirds roam for nectar,
our girl sings and plays her magic guitar,
while back deck sitting, reaching
for nature's balance and calm, she's seeking.

way up there, where her salt meets fresh air
a Goddess descends from mountain to sea
it's earth's creatures for which she cares
but we're delighted that she shares
her playful heart with us through her poetry.

she is a life lived well and on the go,
today Margie, a milestone- the BIG 6-0!

This poem means more to me than any b-day gift or wishes I've gotten in the last 20 years!!! It's like you're putting up a mirror to let me see the best of me, as others might see, which can be quite a bit more sparkling that what I've seen in my own mirror, most of my life *sigh* Whenever I get down on myself, I'm coming back to read this & remind myself of everything I have to be thankful for! (((HUGS))) The part that really stands out is how much you've all "HEARD ME" in my writing (including my favorite ride - tee! hee!) . . . and to be heard is one of the best feelings in life! You've all been instrumental in changing the tide in my life, away from people who hurt me bad in recent years, & instilling a feeling I haven't felt in forever: "BEING GENUINELY LOVED JUST FOR WHO I AM" (a rare thing in life). As soon as the tear stop flowing, I'll start having me a great b-day! *yippee!* Thanks from the bottom of my wobbly legs & feets & toes (((HUGS))) and more (((HUGS)))

I was thinking of doing a moratorium from the computer for a couple days, but I'm glad I didn't miss this amazing heartfelt poem! *big smile with tears* . . . This poem is my favorite b-day gift ever, & the second favorite is the way God has blessed me with cool morning fog off the nearby ocean & perfectly lovely afternoons (very refreshing after the previous 2 weeks of 100* to 110*!)
