on the tips of my lashes

on the tips of my lashes

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

inspired by Caradoc's poem "Wither"

"
Emotions
cling desperately
to the tips of
my lashes,
shiny --
on the surface
I didn't mean
for you to
see ...

The title attracted me to this piece and I wasn't disappointed. This is beautiful in its melancholy... I need to read more pieces by you.

A lovely imagery you created in this one though a sad one, mingled with pain in beautiful visual ways. I really like short but expressive poems such as yours.

Aww, so very sad... The betrayal of those tears that were not meant to seep out. Love the title.

I'll have to check it out.
Beautifully put. It takes my mind to dark, tragic, places I have written of before and perhaps will write of again. Just reading this, I was able to feel something. It tugged at the heartstrings; feeling emotions so powerfully but not wanting another, a specific other, to see what it is they do to you.

You ARE on a roll today.
