A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

a drastically overblown misinterpretation. because men and women really reside on different planets, and I am somewhere in between.

"
what's up darlin?
what'd you think I'd do?
Call a decorator
when you're out of town?
hire a preacher
to take you down?
slap that ring on
while we linger,
accost your poor
unsuspecting finger?
same old been there done that?
what makes you think I want all that?
not saying never,
but, damn baby,
"forever is a mighty long time"*
I just want a little company
it's very far from here to there
and where we might someday be.
besides, what the hell would I wear
for dress number three?

Dress number three. Blue, for hope? Nice flow of thoughts led the reader to good ending and question. Thank you dear friend for sharing the excellent poetry.
