a beautiful shade of blue

a beautiful shade of blue

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

inspired by the song, along with other things

"
I lie down beside her,
and stroke her
long blonde hair.

She is beautiful,
in the light of the moon,
and perfectly still.

Before I take my leave
I cover her
with a blanket
and leave the window
slightly ajar.

It's winter.
she'll be cold
when I come back,
her lips a seductive
shade of blue --

Soon, her skin will slough off,
and I will have to
find someone new.

Some nice strumming in the piece ... eh? And yeah, I see where you are coming from:)
