i dreamt of you in the day

i dreamt of you in the day

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

oh meandering here and there in the past and present

"
"same old love"

we were
Justin and Selena
but broke,
without the perfect faces
and bad lyrics.
too young to know
that "same old love"
might be better
than all the new ones
yet to come.

the art of disarticulating the head from the body
is trickier than it looks in a DIY video.

i want my tan hat
and that ugly blue velour shirt --
those painted on jeans
with the white stripe
down the side --
all the things I wore
when there was a we
instead of a you and an I.

Is it hard to have two perfect individual or two people who have it all made be together forever ? It's like there's nothing for someone to cling to when both got or have everything. I'm from old school and yes I may prefer the same old love. Like when you go to a coffee shop or a well known restaurant that you frequented a lot. I don't need a menu. I just simply say to a person waiting table " same thing again today. "

I think when we're young we think there's something, better, more, and then it's gone.
Quite an interesting opening your have here... nostalgia can be persistant when it comes to lost love.

Sometimes it is. In this case, yes, most definitely.
"down the side --
all the things I wore
when there was a we"

It is amazing when we are in love, we give and give and upon breaking up, we tend to want them back badly as feeling betrayed or hurt. An excellent take on that aspect...:)...................
