kismet

kismet

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

on fate and the like

"
kismet --
did she
hear it,

feel it,
when their
lips met?

fate,
destiny,
impossibility --

if two wrongs
don't make a right,
perhaps it takes three.

Succinct & to the point but with a subtle twist methinks, of course menage a trois is something most of us guys have thought about from time to time, there is just not enough folie a deux in this world for my liking.

Ding Dong, brought it on.................N

Well, that wasn't really where this was going, but thanks for the interesting leap.
Nice use of thoughts and words. I will research and find the video.

The test of life. Wrong or right.? We must taste sweet wine to find peace. Thank you for sharing your outstanding poetry.

You are welcome dear friend.
"kismet..." kiss met... "lips met..." such wondrously subtle rhyme and structure going on in this one, K.L. As to your proposition -- third time's a charm? I think, "perhaps" is as close to the truth as one can ever get. Just jump in and see! Lovely bit of writing... JKB

Do the right thing can feel wrong and doing the wrong thing can feel right, we never know until we feel the aftershock of our actions.

Interesting perspective. Thank you.
Call it fate, destiny, some things are just meant to be. One of my favorite country songs, from 20 years ago, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncXc0n4J8Lc
Maybe it does take three tries.
