she sits, glued to a tiny chair with tennis balls for feet, contemplating her failure to get with the program and step up the positive parenting while denying her underlying disease and masking the deleterious effects of past mistakes, push forward and give us a gold star for being normal
A interesting poem my Poet friend. Being a parent is hard. I believe when we learn. The child is not us. Allow them to grow freely. We are wise.
"while denying
her underlying disease
and masking the deleterious effects
of past mistakes,"
No perfect parent.Just us doing our best. The poem open the doors to thoughts. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

You are welcome my friend. I hope you are well and having some fun.
The exasperation is evident in this write. Hang in there KL, it is soon over, you will have fulfilled the requirements, and work on it all from there, as you best know how.
Well stated.
