What lies between heaven and here.

What lies between heaven and here.

Mysterious ways

The lies
between heaven
and you
dragged me
from hell.

blasphemy,
perhaps,
but I think
God sent you
to save me

Mysterious
lies
somewhere
between here
and there.

Heaven breached

Breached the gates of heaven
with all your pretty lies
took me some time to find
the truth in another's eyes.

the Road

the road to heaven
was paved with lies
and all my good intentions
led me straight to hell.
the bed you lie in
is the one you made me
and in it my own heaven
lies.

muddy water

somewhere in muddy water
i drowned in your lies
led me to heaven
inside his sighs.

Yeah, think I did found them.
Another nice collection of poetic thought KL. These are fun to read and always a cool journey for my mind. And I'm not lying.

Have I ever accused you of lying, dear Will? Thank you, as always, my friend and breath of fresh air.. read more
Such powerful poetry, KL. As I read your words, I sang the song, "tell me lies" to myself. Lies are sometimes sweet....more often not. The truth is not always easy to find...or to accept. Well written. Lydi**

Thank you, dear Lydia, your visits are always appreciated.
OMG love the Pretty Reckless, in fact wearing their t-shirt right now…

Sometimes what we think is our path to heaven on Earth turns into a living hell.

You are too kind. Your amazing poetry give me reasons to improve.
The power of words to say one thing to one person, and something different to another is always the challenge of the writer. To acknowledge a different understanding from ones original intent is the sign of writer that is open to the other's viewpoint.
Three great little poems, bundled into a theme make an even better one.

Thank you, and thanks for pointing out the mistake in the title.
Lies, lies, lies...
It will catch up with them. Karma.
Excellent poem KL. Always a punch to the heart.

Thank you, yes, I believe so.
reminds me of an old song by the knickerbockers called "Lies"

i hummed while i read these....i love connotation and how poets use the same word to have several meanings.

you are good, KL...

aye, and there lies the rub!
