Calliope

Calliope

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

on the way from ...

"
"I ain't never heard a calliope,"
she said, with a wistful smile
painted on parchment lips.

"If you ain't heard it, maybe it doesn't exist,"
she answered,
to no one in particular.

"That explains a lot about love," she said,
humming softly
in a voice she imagined to be
calliope.

Oh the sadness. :-(
It exists, it surely does.
It's a rare thing though, some may call it an old fashioned notion but it exists.
One of your best right here.

They do exist, I have seen it. And when you find one, it is beautiful. Interesting metaphor.

Interestings questions is it loss of love when two that were bonded decide to go their ways? Or is it that because of love they realize they can't be together any longer? Is love just an imaginary thing? I do like the way the questions come at me through the Circus theme. Relationships are difficult to encapsulate yet a journey worth taking.

Thank you
