Barking dogs

Barking dogs

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

Compilations over my absence

"

In the background
barking
chasing entries
in my mind ...

Attune
to
makes no sense

tampers
with the flow

murmurs
me to death

arrhythmia
one beat
at a time.

truth in advertising

the ad made me laugh.
"dad's don't take sick days,"
it said.
apparently, they never met
you.

Till death do us part.
There's always hope.

Dad's don't take sick days. :-(
That broke my heart KL.

you know I am such a fan of these works from you.. each one such a small gem of brilliance.. the last one powerful and hit me the hardest.. you can write with such a tenderness, an honest vulnerability, and other times such a strength and sharp wit that has me reeling from the contrast.. I have missed reading you my friend.. loved these!

Thanks April, thats me. A walking contradiction with honesty at the core.
See, this one again, has that unique wistful hand… your very own fingerprint. Even the sharp, convicting words of this one, especially of the last couplet, is still rendered with that wistful touch in "Till death do us part; There's always hope."

They are different scenes yet they flow together. The last pointed wish is delivered with a dagger's edge. Nicely done.

Thanks for stopping by.
You are back even if for a fleeting moment! Sorry to have missed you, but this collection of powerfull shorts that climb through the states of mind. Even the ones that struggle to make sense, they want to rebel, the effects of media and humour indeed at times al lwe can do is give it a good smile.

Thank you

Hey, KL, "Goode" to see you back, and in your usual fine form. The last stanza, yeah, there is always hope, isn't there.
