Christmas hugs

Christmas hugs

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

wherever you are.

"
Christmas cold mornings
digging out the car,
cups of hot cocoa
blended into memory
wishing to see you,
knowing it cannot be.
Hugging them a little
tighter, for you,
today.

Brrrr! That's precisely why well LEFT Missouri! LOL. But, snow does look more Christmas-y, doesn't it. If we could have snow and cold JUST for Christmas… sigh…

Sweet little poem. Loved it.

So did we -- but, we usually do in NC.
Beautiful song and a amazing poem. I added the good song to my favorite. I hope you had a Merry Christmas and you will have a safe and fun New Year.

Thank you for stopping in
KL, warm, cozy, and full of heart. This is a beautiful expression of your spirit. Great writing, again and again. I don't think I've particularly disliked anything that floats through that head of yours and lands on your pen. Thank you for this treasure...:)

Thank you very much.
This touched my heart. We mourn what we've lost but we need to hold a bit tighter to what we have. You send that hug across generations in this poem. Just beautiful.

Thank you, I appreciate that. The song prompted the poem.
Somethings, are never meant to be, KL. No matter, how hard we wish them to be. As I think, about my dad, oma, and opa, would knew that special touch, to brighten my darkest day, into bright light. For them, I shed a tear, every day, wishing, I was, a little child, all over, again.

Keep them in your heart. :-/
It's a beautiful KL. xo
This one sent a chill up my spine today. Sad and so filled with that want we often feel this time of year. Beautiful KL, but kind of lonely.

Yes, thank you. Sometimes pretty songs make you think of sad things.
