Your hands

Your hands

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

Inspired by conversations with Ana Sophia, among other things ...

"
Your hands,
are nothing like
the ones that
came before.

Your hard,
is not one
from the in,
but from the out.

You are a man,
born of earth
and dirt and
work and pain.

Maybe that is
what I need,
to teach me
to love again.

They are hard to find and hard to come by if we aren't looking in all the right places. I love this line

You are a man,
born of earth
and dirt and
work and pain.

It's something about people who have been exposed to hard life make's them treasure the most important. Well expressed KLGoode :)

poetic enigma can be so alluring .. i am captivated by the complexity i see in this .. but try as i may .. i can not decipher clearly .. in the second verse, first line .. do you mean to say hard? .. just want to make sure .. pictures of miners and steel workers of the 50's flash across my mind .. all those dads and husbands that got up, went and worked, came home .. had a little respite .. then back in the morning to have another go round .. my own dad was such a man .. never complained .. i think they are heroes .. but your poem is complex .. so many things can entwine into the mix .. nice work! your poem captured me

Man I have missed your work ... Simple yet touching with the images of strength in supporting hands yet gentle in love.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I have been busy, not sure but I am close to 100 pages now.
I read into the reality of being grounded. Much is written about love that "fuels the stars" that inspires the greatest inventions that reaches beyond time. How about the little grain of salt earned through dedication and hard sweat. Isn't that love if not so romantic equally effective? Poor Salieri having to live through the times of Mozart he suffered yet he was still quite the musician. Or Camille Claudel so much suffering and hardships never to found out she was a fine artist.

There is mistery here.

I have no answers.

Thankyou
