tough to chew

tough to chew

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

I heard this song and I had to write.

"
Tough

times I chewed on
more gristle
than meat
charred and rotted
there wasn't enough spice
to mask the odour
or enough ale
to choke it down,
you thought
you'd make it
hard for me.

but tough times
don't last,

I do.

KL, may he choke on even the idea of making it tough on you.. you my friend have taught us all that we do not ever ever have to live with abuse... are you giving lessons for that "toughness dance"... sign me up... ;0)

Yeah digesting what is put infront of us is not easy... Trying to metabolize the experiences and time does not seem to just renew itself does it? It takes efort to go through what is infront of us.

Harrowing.

Thankyou

Thank you Rene I appreciate it.
Reading your words, KL, I hear a survivor, reminding her abuser that she's stronger and wiser, than he is. Having weathered the storm, he has tossed you, into. Something, I am slowly doing, for myself. Although, there are days, which I struggle to swallow a single bite, without being sick. But I know, I have traveled a great distance, just to reach this point, in my own healing. Thank you, KL, for sharing this part of your healing journey, so far.
