a cynical garden

a cynical garden

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

thoughts growing in my mind

"
Drop Dead Cynical

from the song
of the same name ...

Rocking to a tune
become the one
most avoidant
of the literary
yet literal
swoon.

That's what happens
when you promise
the moon,
and it's only
made out of
cheese.

sheeese Louise! the moon is not cheese ;) this is so cynical .. :))

i think i need a platform to exuberate on .. (spell check tells me its not a word) ..
what a boisterous romp! .. how much you inspire me to peek into all the corners and angles .. your poem takes this old fuddy man onto new avenues ..

Flattery will get you everywhere, thanks.
But I love cheese! especially mature! A bright and witty piece with a sober message.

Aww thanks John. Send me RRs for your latest. I am behind.
I haven't really seen a lot of poetry about songs, but this is awesome. It makes me want to see more. I love it, it's a really cool take. Keep doing this, it's amazing!

Thank you. I love this song, and it fit my mood.
Ah, KL, good to have the time to visit you today my friend, a dose of reality, salt with an extra pinch, dealt with reeling perception...always a pleasure xo

Yeah I rather liked it myself thanks.
But just think how much a mouse would love that moon.
Perspective....

You'll find the moon that's right for you.
In the meantime, tell that rat to 'shoo'...

Very good thank you.
Funny how the emotions of a writing can evoke a song or vice versa. I'm not sure how this relates to the subject in question but it ceratinly has managed to make you write about it, which is already a from of pondering. Empty promises. Those don't help at all.

Hoping things get better.

Thankyou

I do not see healthy cynicism as a bad thing, but necessary for survival.:)
