Religious fanaticism,
or the perfect crime?

A woman claiming to be so religious she thought her husband, whom she says died of natural causes at home, would rise from the dead, was not charged with anything but petty crimes. Children's Aid authorities did not even investigate, despite the children living for months in a home with their dead father. The woman had the presence of mind to seal off all the windows and vents and lock the doors, but not to take proper care of her husband's body, which was so badly decomposed the cause of death cannot properly be determined. How convenient.

Yes, pretty disgusting. What totally blows me away is the complete lack of penalty due to cow-towing to religion.

Isn't that totally effed? I am blown away by this story. People defending the whackadoodle as a "devout Christian" -- this is not right.

It's not right. But people use religion all the time when defending themselves for crimes committed. It's disgusting, makes me sick to my stomach.
