Scared

Scared

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

Scared to fall. I heard this song and it spoke to me.

"
tremble me
slowly
meet me
half way
to the floor.

come crash
and tumble
catch me
before it's
too late.

we're both scared
we've both
been somewhere
near here before --

chances are something
better taken,
than left behind
as regret.

Bittersweet memories
Of chances
Not taken.

As flashbacks
Appear before me
Of love abused
By someone close.

Want to commit
But terrorified
Of what may happen.

Just once
I want to share
What's inside
With you.

Your welcome, KL. Momzilla recommends that I post these poem, on my page, to protect my writing, but.. read more

You still should cut and paste them and then post them. I agree.

Have copied and expanded the poem, which I have just posted, with a RR, to you, KL.
A beautiful poem. Short and sweet.
"chances are something
better taken,
than left behind
as regret."
You know I agree with the above lines. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Take no chances. Know no joy. Have some fun and be safe.
I regret many of my sins. I most remember those I failed to commit.

This is very true, my friend, often it's what we didn't do we regret the most.

I hear another song which has the same meaning . It's like both sweetheart are inlove and have feelings for each other. So the guy is asking his girl to take achance on love and take a chance on him . If I remember the song I will or might share it on PM . But love is such acomplicated thing and so much ramifications . Wish having it on paper is good enough . But love goes beyond man's word . Shouldn't be afraid to fall . And fall they must if in order to learn something valuable to further strengthen their relationship . Any marriage or relationship is a working process . Its full of ups and down . Two opposite people taking a chance on love .
Love the thought in this piece KLG .

Thank you for your lovely words.
Another expressive piece which I relate to. I guess you cannot force the pace though, especially when someone feels they nhave already had their fingers burned?

No, no pace forcing allowed.:) Thank you.
To have no hope therefore would seem to engender no fear. When you get to that state. Out of not caring any longer or simply because you feel pushed to it. You take risks. Some of which, are indeed a reflection of honesty and sincerity. So a mistake well made might be better than a frightened half way intention expressed poorly.

Go all the way it is then

Thankyou

Same here. You are welcome...:)......
I remember Camus saying, "One should live on the razor's edge of the sun", unfortunately he never mentioned what to do if you fall off.

Good writing!
