Debriding my love

Debriding my love

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

this just crept in

"
Necrotic tissue,
obscuring
the tender
parts of me
rendered
unusable
for years --

unable
to listen to a song
that drew water
from my eyes,

nor pain from
the tympanic
membranes
reverberating inside.

Debridement
was a
necessary procedure,
exposing pink,
and sloughing
off the rest
of you.

Very good poem and powerful emotion and thoughts in the words.

I do remember places and faces with song and similar places. Hard to block out. I felt the sadness and want to forget and move on. Thank you dear Poet for sharing the excellent poetry.

Ugh this is like a knife cutting through the tender emotional layers. Oh man there is no thick skin that could pretend not to be hurt. Them words are sharp , hot, hard to handle. Exposing pink? Oh my I'm one step away here from feeling a little emotinally queasy. But the song memories that make me want to reach and numb it all down.

Harrowing stuff this I couldn't read it with a straight face

Thankyou
