I've missed you

I've missed you

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

a thought

"
I've missed you,
gathering thoughts;

a year has passed?
so much has changed ...
for better --

you came to me,
when I needed you,
you felt my pain,

I felt yours too --
lonely,empty,dark.

I sat in a house
of lies,

waiting for my
chance --

your hand was one
of many to help
me out of
that hole.

forever grateful
I am,
for that coffee,
that day.

and your touch,
a world away.

I've missed you.

Gentle and beautiful memories in the poem. I like the reflection. The poem took the reader to a place where we need what we cannot have. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

You are welcome.
It's so nice to have a friend we can depend on when the going gets tough..a lovely thought to remember those who lend a helping hand in such times...

╰☆╮I relate to this tremendously. There have been many people who helped me through tough times but we didn't stay in touch.╰☆╮

Thanks. Nice to see you.
Sometimes people come into our lives just when we need them even if they don't stay. This was both lovely and sad.

Thank you. As it happens usually the best things come out of the simplest.
Beautifully weaved, succulent capture of emotions hungupon the page in bright flowing verse.

I've missed you too .. er.. okay, I'll behave. ;0)

I enjoyed your poem KL and know how this feels, both the missing and the warmth a friend leaves with you. Perhaps there might be more coffee at some point??
