Monkeys on the keys

Monkeys on the keys

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

you know the thing about monkeys

"
tapping on keys
with nail tips
siliconed on Thursday
last week
trying to figure out
how many
monkeys it would
take to get
the message to you
and how many years

after all,
it ain't Shakespeare.

i like the sarcasm and humor in this .. not sure at the moment who to assign the "monkey" role to .. i i kind of want the last line to read "it (aint) Shakespeare" .. hmmmmmmm silicone nails ..... makes me think a bit of plastic phoniness is implied ... but in the end .. she is trying to get the message through .. so i think better of her .. men can be and are ...pretty ignorant at times ;) again... i like the sarcasm and humor ..not easy things to accomplish in my opinion

So you gave someone the brush off and they are not hearing it? As always a thought, moment in time or concept captured succinctly in verse.

Yeah, definitely haven't received the message. Thank you.:)
Given the current rate of literacy, I would say, 10 000 000 years, give or take a century. But then again, I'm a tad cynical.
