thoughts on a 9 kinda day

thoughts on a 9 kinda day

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

a thought vignette of this year

"
November 18, 2014 -- 9

one word at a time

i couldn't have predicted
the journey
searching
anger
lonely
wanting
to reconnect --
one word
in front of
another
each day
a step
toward
a new
me ...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I arrived on your doorstep
broken and bleeding,
and now, I've begun
to heal.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

among the apostrophes and commas she found pause to care, and friendship, and dreams ...

---------------------------------------------------------------

I ate my way out of the box
you put me in,
wiped my face,
and ran away.

now you
wonder
why I
am
so
thin.

----------------------------------------------------------------

calculated insanity -- a step either way from genius to mad.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

inside my sighs

you reached
inside my sighs
and captured
a part of me
I thought
was
forever lost

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
enter me quickly, take the pain, leave me something to shelter me from the rain.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

infinite spaces

in the infinite spaces
between where we have been
and where we
want to be
there is
everything
in
between.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 edging

i followed me
to the edge
of where
i thought I was,
and discovered
something different
than I imagined
I could.

Amazing use of poetry and thoughts. You have been busy writing. I like the flow of poetry and thoughts. I like the way you led to the very good ending. Thank you dear Poet for sharing the excellent poetry.

That is good. I'm glad.
What a collection! Partial to the last one. Feels like a moment of rebirth.

Thank you very much, that is the way I intended it.
I love all of these little gems, but inside my sighs
you reached

forever lost - is my favorite....It reminds me of my daughter. When I'm having an off day, she always seems to make me smile, encouraging me to be silly and carefree...if only for a little while.
Wonderful writing my friend.

Yes, I think that one is my favourite too. Thank you for following along.
Each poem is like a stepping stone on a path. I like that your journey ebbs and flows as you gain your footing and stand tall. Loved the apostrophe reference...I used to think of you as the apostrophe lady before you really started posting. ; )

KL's path went one extra than bhuddism itself and that one onl had eightfold KL thought well my path will be ninefold. Aside from the weakness of my humour I have been a confessed fan of the sequentially depicted stream of thought. There is recapitulation here, difficult events by allaccounts, decisions made, attitudes changed and so many other changes really but the beauty of the ninth I have to thankyou for that. At times my stupidity tends to guess the end thinking I am clever and indeed if only to let the end unfold as it must only to discover and be surprised.

Oh my I didn't see that coming towards me.

Brilliant thought

Great sequence.

Thankyou

Thanks. I had to do nine for my nine day, the first anniversary.
Pretty melancholy for a 9 kind of day. Nine-kind of days to me are almost perfect. The sun is out, and everything is going my way-- The street lights turn green before I get there kind of day. I thought Infinite Spaces was fantastic. Very well written, and I really love the transition from i to I in Edging...very inspired, K!

You are welcome...:)
These all seem to have a melancholic, sad and reflective tone to them on a nine sort of day! Obviously a time of thinking for you.

I don't find them melancholy at all. I have grown a lot this past year, and I am grateful.
