kissing frogs in lieu of common sense

kissing frogs in lieu of common sense

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

I don't know where this one is going, it just sounded right

"

She's tired of ...

kissing frogs in lieu of common sense;
her lips are parched and dry,

each one holds his own consequence,
there's not enough balm to apply

maybe time to call it a day
and curl up with the cat,

there's safer ways a girl can play
men simply aren't all that
.

I can imagine so, KL. But litter boxes, take the cake, with 3 cats.

He curls comfortably on my hip, doesn't snore, is cheap to feed, and eats mice
You can catch something from that.

Besame mucho. Now that takes me back to my misspent youth, that song was being performed a lot, I can't recall the singer now, but I thought I was bad a*s because I knew what the title meant.
The poem is a good one, nice work on the rhyming.
How is the cat doing?

This is original but other versions were more popular
Adorable rhyming here! Kissing frogs can get old after a while, no doubt about it. Your sense of humor is still alive and well, KL. Lydi**
