inside voice

inside voice

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

thoughts gather under the shelter

"
inside voice

I started
listening
to my
inside voice

the day
I kissed you

the day
I took you

inside
the softest
parts
of me.

===============================================================================
poisoned apple pie

what heart aches
must one suffer
to mistrust
the simplest of
gestures;
making love
and apple pie.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
blame

she wants it to be her
because that is all
she knows.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
corrugated sympathies

she crafts a makeshift shelter
out of corrugated sympathies
bound together with
love's forgotten memories,
shivering under
newspaper blankets
damp with frozen tears.

Yep. You are welcome muchly...:)....................
Your groupings are wonderfully reflective of each other. I am particularly fond of corrugated sympathies. I found your imagery to be quite clever. There is much here that many can relate to.

Thanks so much. Hey, check out my sonnet. Yeah, trying that sonnet thing again. "elated".
No doubt about it ... romantic heartbreak can leave you feeling homeless, unable to trust again. I felt this one, KL. One of your greats.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I was really pleased with this particular collection.
KL, I believe this collection of short poems is your best work ever! So descriptive! This is my favorite, "she crafts a makeshift shelter out of corrugated sympathies." A person goes through a lot before deciding enough is enough. A person makes excuses and compromises till there is nothing left to compromise. You have said it so well. Kudos! Lydi**

A vivd descrition of internalising. This is what we donlt get to see, finer matter of emotions amalgamated trying so hard to adapt to the challeneges thrown. The last attempt however sems like a stretch to far and maybe indications that it is time to pack and go since the stormy weather is looming in the distance.

Thankyou
