projected misinterpretations

projected misinterpretations

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

something that happened recently

"
laughable,
really,
but
totally
understandable.

she bares my name
projected
adulation
misinterpreted
adoration ...

it isn't me he seeks
but a love
lost regained
and tossed
again --

'thou doth protest too much'

once a thought is planted
is there ever
reasoning
such a thing away?

I like "bares" won't won't quibble or call it a Canadian thing for a laugh. It is the best word in the poem.

I thought it was a clever play. So there.:)
Very well penned KLG amazing where inspiration may be found these days. Amazing also how folk often jump to conclusions when it comes to emotions captured on a page. Tell em to check out 'The Harrad Experiment' & 'The Harrad Letters' if they are still in print........N

Thanks so much as always my friend.
good song by the Romantics..

i like your reference to shakespeare's Hamlet..and how when Hamlet asked his mother how she likes the play, she says "the woman does protest too much"

ah, but she will keep her word...

yet in this poem...he wants her love again no matter how much she protests...and yet she protests for good reason, because he is just going to throw her away again.

Jealousy... I'm guilty of this too.
But who isn't? You're human.

And when you're married to an @ss... Is it really that unreasonable?

I can honestly say that's the one thing I am not. Jealous. Although the same can't be said for peopl.. read more
I lived my whole unhealthy married life with unfounded jealousies. The underlying suspicions were an unbearable weight. Sometimes, there is no hidden anything, but just a weird set of coincidences that sows the seeds of doubt.
