pickled epiphanies

pickled epiphanies

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

another collection of thoughts

"

freshly pickled epiphanies

I put them
in a jar,
my most recent
epiphanies ...
added
a brine of
things that
are not meant to be,
and screwed
the lid on tight.
left them
on the shelf,
away from
direct light.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

carcinogenic love

imagine
my surprise

when I
realized

my apathy

metastasized
to include
all the parts
of you.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

a certain thrill

each entry
into me
is another
exit

further
from
you.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Put the postman down, doggie, I said, "I hate males" ...

I am glad these were pickled to your liking.:)
To me the poem speak of a journey. I enjoyed them all. An interesting idea you have those pickled epiphanies. I like that.

Why thank you. I appreciate your visits.
Three wonderful poems that seem like something you found on a beach after a high tide. Effortless or so they seem.

Indubitably
Awesome, every single one of these you have ever delivered.
But I have never laughed so hard as I did when I read that last line,

Ha ha that's good. The postman's not laughing too hard.
I love when you do these... little mini presents... the construction of each.. the transitions.. the condensed treasures.. I loved each and every one... witty metaphor that had me giggling.. of course the second tickled the medical geek in me... oooh yea... the presentation, the flow, the pauses, the font and the wording was a masterpiece in the next... each....line...slicing...its...point... and the last.. haha... what more can you say... awesome piece... one of my new favs.... your variety packs are always awesome!..:D

they are definitely of the highest quality, and would be inclined to agree with him..
Put the postman down doggie, damn that must be the best line I have read this week. I thought the whole doggie thing as going to transpose into an explicitly sexual thing but the writing ended there. The sequence again is great I can only imagine the level of intensity your relationships contained. But the metaphor of the jar for preserving says it all.

Always a fan of this type of writing.

Thankyou

Thanks. It actually happened. I am on short notice not to have mail delivery to my home.:)
I liked the first one; Pickled Epiphanies. I have a similar bottle at home. It's called Pickled Desire. Some of the things I desire most in the world were one time within my grasp, but were not meant to be, so I had to pickle them and put them on a shelf. Great lines, KLG!

I hope so, and I will try.
"a certain thrill" is my absolute favorite of these...you said something infinitely plausible in so few words.

Thank you, I appreciate that. I had to find a way to word it for it to have that precise feel.
