dragons for breakfast

dragons for breakfast

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

it's a long story

"
I was a vegetarian
nearly half my life,

I woke up one day
and had a dragon
for breakfast.

That was the day
you realized
I had checked out.

That was some breakfast. Sometimes something changes in a relationship and one side doesn't notice until you eat the dragon. Those flames burn hottest.
Good write.

Bingo. When it's too late all the sudden the other half pays attention
Wow. I'm speechless by how finely crafted that was. The ability to say what you did in so many words and to create that kind of depth that you did is masterful. This went straight into my library. Just simply amazing. Saying anything else would do it an injustice.

That is a very flattering review. Thank you
nicely done Lynn, enjoyed both the poem and the music... both had the feel of an epic tale with final conclusion- you won!!!!

Thank you ever so much
OOPS! I like the tongue in cheek humour, the mystery behind the thoughts that drove the writing (long story) , the vid.

Honest brevity. Brava, Lyn!

Hell of an awakening. But we do what we must AS we must.

Thank you very much
subtle violence ... lots of power to be gained in the killing and eating of the dragon ..i like the contrasts and the empowerment in this ..i like the surgically trimmed lines ... nice job says i!

wellllllllllll it takes a while to digest eh!? ;)
You knew they vegetables weren't good for you.
But a dragon, medium rare. You just can't beat it.

Thank you. I appreciate it.
The title of this one really drew me in, I loved the idea of eating a dragon, as if it would even taste remotely good! lol.

I liked the last stanza,
"that was the day you realized I had checked out"
It really makes you think about what this is truly about!

You are welcome :)
I imagine eating a dragon would call for copious amounts of PeptoBismol or Galviscon to quench the heartburn.
:D

Great metaphorical piece here Lyn Anderson.
Well done.
