jewels you could not pawn

jewels you could not pawn

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

thank you

"
There they are,
two glittering gems
brighter than any
diamonds,
more perfect and splendid
than all the gold
you rescinded
in your leaving me --

you cannot pawn them,
or pry them from
my grasp,
or squelch the
light in their eyes
when they look at me,
you cannot blight my love
or cast it into the sea,

our daughters,
the jewels
I will be forever
grateful
you gave to me.

No greater jewels exist than a child's arms about their mother's neck.

Thank you. They are the only reason I cannot entirely regret half my adult life. Thank God for that.

Your welcome
I may have stolen a jewel from a brother. His loss. Amazing write, as told by how so many relate.

Thank you so much. I appreciate it.
I think we all appreciate the results of some relationships more that the relationship itself.
I am the father of 5 and love them all.

But really have no place in my life for the two X wives that both screwed me over in so many ways
But I digress.

May you always enjoy the jewels in your life.

I can relate to you words - being a divorced mother...
I'm lucky that the anger is long gone and I have been able to find a place in my heart for my ex-husband...he did give me a lovely child. I hope this for you..

Yes I hope so too. Thank you for your kindness.
A fantastic write that mixes emotions. The main feeling at first glance is sadness but redemption and beauty lies under the service. Great job KL!

I feel this one, well done.

In spite of sadness, there's an amazing love, deep, deep inside these words. Tis extraordinary how simply put phrases hold the greatest meaning.
