feed me

feed me

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

If only I could eat it up

"
feed me
your happiness.

I want to
slurp up
your smile
like a warm
cup of soup.

so tired of
feeling like
a worn out
dishrag,
emotions
re-wrung
one time
too many.

spoon me
your kisses
like sloppy
sweet desserts
on a lazy
sunny Sunday.

don't leave
me for real
life -- just
this one time,
please stay.

What deliciously sensual imagery and a great metaphor here. Sometimes it would be nice to adopt another person's happiness....to really feel it through and through. The emotional turmoil in this poem is strong. Great work, KL. Lydi**
