when every word blurs

when every word blurs

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

like I said, look away if you don't like it.

"
When every word blurs
into smeared and ugly lines.
you wet your thumb,
try to erase the pain
with spit and grease
that sits on the page
dirty reminders
of things you said
that were not true,
promises made,
that you couldn't do.
I already told you
I don't love you.

Don't ask me again.

---------------------------------------------------------------
if I had a nickle for every lie you told, I would not have to search for a pot of gold.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

People judge
"Why would someone be driven to murder?"
So much easier to just sign on the dotted line
and be done.
People judge
Because they didn't have the misfortune
of being married to you.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You sit,
you dream,
you wonder
what is she doing
and with whom?

Allow me
the pleasure
of some
clarification ...

I know you are
no good at math,
but follow me
for just a minute.

Let me take
what isn't your
business and
put you right in it.

Add up your
worst imaginings
and multiply
it by four,

you can't
even guess
the half of it,
and still
I want more.

Love. Or at least that's what it was supposed to be, Thank you for reading and reviewing.
KLG, I can't believe you would be sucked in to someone who was as dense as you proclaim...you are smarter than that. Too bad he doesn't seem to take the hint. Can't you just move away somewhere, start fresh without the stench of his presence? You could move down here!

Thanks so much, I appreciate it.
The thing about concepts associated with mental images quasi pictorial is that they need every fragment to exist. Unlike other linear sequences were one or two lines down the writing you can "Oh, i know were this is heading towards" sort of reasoning. I don't see it as fragments at all. One of the things that comes about for me is whoever was close to KL decided conciously or unconciously not to pay attention. Indifferent does not reap goods though on he contrary most thing wilt. In here the relationship wilted in the end.

Thankyou

Wilted, shriveled, disintegrated, yes thank you.
As I have reviewed before, I enjoy this format, how the disconnected poems unify, and the writing is pretty damn good too.

You invite to look away, but i read and welcomed ever last vitriolic word. I would have added some choice words but as you say "poetic license"... HA!! Something like GFY again and again. I had a friend who once told me that she had a special fry pan to use when he slept!! Her partner turned out to be one of the few nice guys and she never got to use it. But i always appreciated that she was ready .. Anyway I'm going back to read again. Nothing like vitriol for lunch!! ;0)
