A confluence of the most fortunate set of events

on conversations with Noel yet again. If I ever publish, I'll owe you royalties ...:)

It was a confluence of the most
unfortunate set of events,
that I landed
on your door step,

naked, and bleeding,
unaware of all the wounds,
raw and opened,

I dressed them so well,
I didn't even feel them anymore,
or so I thought.

I stepped on a few people
to make it out of the muck,
found you with a spot of luck.

                I fought,
                I wrote,
                I laughed,
                I loved,
                I cried ...

               the best parts of me lived,
               while the other half died.

And through
a confluence of
the most fortunate set of events,
I have you by my side.

The best of me lived the other half died . This line hit my soft spot . Its really true . Memories are always going to be there . Whether its good or bad . But we always prefer to remember the good and best part . Its also possible that the person took a special part of who we are so there will always be avoid there until perhaps another special someone fill that void inside our life and heart .
