HE LIED

plagiarism and murder isn't much different in the minds of writers ...

On a lofty pedestal he sits.
he criticizes, analyzes;
pontificates
on love and war.

If vows can be made
at an altar, while lies
dance behind the eyes,
a total stranger can do the same ...

altered identities,
questionable entities,
veiled hostilities --
multiple personalities --
plagiarism caught and denied,
how many people will it take
to realize
HE LIED.

some thoughts on plagiarism and using the cafe' to dupe people for questionable purposes.

Plagiarism to me is theft...pure and simple. And I will hunt down and destroy the sorry piece of s**t who ever steals my work. Seriously....as Frieda will tell you I should work for the FBI...I have my ways of finding things and people. Believe me the idiot would be tarred and feathered for the entire internet to see. No one who claims to be a writer would ever steal another persons words!!!

I also should point out that when this has been an issue before ive seen fairly popular writers comment saying they don't really care if someone else shares or takes from their work. Well to me its that complacency that contributes to the problem. We all have to be vigilant otherwise its not taken seriously. If you don't care about your work why even put your name on it? Just sign as anonymous or unknown and share it for everyone to use. There was a time when plagiarizing or cheating was considered to be a shameful act and maybe its societies increasing complacency that gives so many the idea that its no big deal!

Thanks, and truthfully, this guy should have been kicked off for the other stuff he does. I am not surprised that plagiarism would get added to the list.

Im not surprised either, it goes with the type of person he is. I took four years of journalism and my teacher was big on the integrity of writers. He outright said he would never trust anyone who stole or lied in the attempt to be a writer or journalist. It was a clear statement of a persons morality to him.

Plagiarism is very serious to real writers and those who do it automatically lose all credibility…


I actually got accused once just because I co-wrote a story dealing with a amp ire in a cemetery and this other person did too, that was the only similarity.

I hope not too. He is a serial reviewer in the feed. You really can't miss it if you pay attention. He also has MPD and runs at least 7 profiles that I am aware of, probably more, and most of them are women.

Yes, of course, any writer should be. As far as I know, he never did it to me. He deceived me in other ways and I blocked him a while ago.

On another note, after reading some of the reviews of your poem, it seemed like a lot of you know someone who plagiarizes other's work, and/or harasses people. Is this person currently on the site?

At the moment not in the feed, but he has multiple identities so even if he closes his account he might still be here. Watch for fakes and phonies.

blocked that wasn't truthful that was all about
himself only wanted my reviews and to be at the
top and care nothing about hurting
others so I block the guy.



and I agree I've a long time ago not on
here but on a site friended someone and she
was really Mental and learned wasn't too sane
and she told me she was put into a mental hospital
and not heard from her since but no one hurts me since
I have family the crazies back off I have a older brother
and sister that don't live too far
from here they are in Georgia also
and my family is very protective but since then I
am very careful of who I friend I let God guide me and if something
isn't right I walk the other way I don't trust too easily
it was a lesion for me.

many will see as lies I knew he wasn't no where near god and started seeing Godly poems he is no respecters of persons and his selfish pride pushes God away he would know that from what it is to care his heart is so selfish. I will.

You know, I have been spared this plagiarism and dogging, perhaps because I am a guy and he seems only interested in harassing women... I want to ask a question about this.. everyone, you, Frieda, Andrea, all say you can't name names.. Why?? not sure I understand the reasoning behind this... maybe this is inappropriate for me to raise but it seems logical as a way to put an end to such abuse??? I mean why should this activity be allowed??? anyway, not asking for a name (I think I already know who this is) but an explanation...

I had correspondence with a member that noticed this and reported it to WC admin. They were less than helpful. "I alerted an admin to his actions but was accused of "making fun" and causing trouble"

Hi Andrea, thanks... I don't have answers, except that I hate that it is both prevalent and continues... A suggestion, (and maybe this is already happening to some extent), why not form a support group starting at least with the 4 or 5 of you who are aware of what he is doing and gather up from the feeds, the things you mentioned elsewhere in the comments of this poem.. find the way he operates and save these things as evidence to share with each other and if it seems he is going after a particular woman, share with her so she doesn't feel alone or is caught up.. take all this to WC monitors/management and offer it as reason for his being kicked off...
look this site is important to those who love poetry and writing and come to have a safe place without the abuse many are writing about.. a safe place where men are NOT allowed to dog women in any way shape or form... friendship is one thing, harassment is quite another..

Well having quite a lot of knowledge all they could do is bann him as bann the machine with which he enters the site. He then can make a new id and continue using a different machine at a cafe or someother place. Or go thorugh a proxy in whic case it uses resources which this site doesnlt have. After that it gets into very dodgie legal territory of what the site can and can't do.

true, it will always be up to us who see through all this and hate it to actively try and stop it... we may not have those resources, but we have each other and together this can be solved I... there are really only 3 ways to look at this.. close our eyes to it, just rattle our chain by writing about it (we should do this also), or do all we can do to fix it, stop it... all monster (even the human 2 legged kind hate the light of day... to be caught... anyway... whatever happens it is up to us..

Seriously!! I take very few friend requests anymore for that very same reason Rob. And trust me having multiple pics and lots of friends doesn't mean crap. As for the new ones that pop up...I can usually spot them before the problems arise. The signs are there you just have to keep those eyes open!!
