She has a soul as deep as an ocean

She tickles and slashes with her poetry
and doesn't know how to give up --

She is everything good and right
when the world is turned askew,

a friend,
a mentor,
a mother,
a sister,
a poet,
and so much more ...


She has all the curves and angles,
and none of them are obtuse.

She has lived a life you couldn't spend one day in,
and she wouldn't want you to.

'Cause everyone knows my Frieda
loves her shoes ...

Well what can I say I was also sucked in by Frieda's religious implications and dedicated a piece of my rage to God willingly. It takes very little to get me going. But the gesture here a great one, gratitude, untiy, acceptance, friendship . Oh, I could keep going but I don't think there is any need. On a more humorous note do I take from the writing that Friedas is the curvaceous kind as well as vivacious?
Great sentiment KL. One minor negative I would like to share if I amy. I find this verison of the song a sacrilege. In comparison the the orignial Hymn that self - indugent addiction but life is not perfect is it?

Ah, I guess you are entitled. I happen to dig Marilyn Manson. And of course his connection as the Anti-Christ symbol right wing Christians love to bash sort of fit here. But seriously, calling someone obtuse, especially someone who is bright and brilliant, and kind, because they don't ascribe to your belief system? Really, how is that helpful, and how would that show them the light? What light? They are living in the dark.
