Alphabet soup confessions

Alphabet soup confessions

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

I was grinning madly when I came up with this one, outside, working today

"
I don't think there ever was an A -
that one stands for me.
the only B
was the first kiss he gave me.
and as for C too many to count
in the wide blue sea.
D was a heartbreak E a misty memory,
skipped the F and went to G's,
oh they were good to me,
HI to to JKL, all special in their own way,
No M or N to give me O's
didn't mind my P's or Q's
R's were well received
S was where I should have stayed
T was a stutter
that led me back to U
no more confessions to be made
yet -- all the way to Z.

A life in alphabet form, capturing all those intricate little thoughts that we traverse when trying to comprehend all the journeys that led us to where and what we are today. A wonderfully unique perspective, perfectly penned.

Thanks, I tripped across this one in my organising, and felt it needed a re-visit.
clever from A all the way to Z, with a hint of romancing in there, to all the guys/girls we've loved before :)

yeah the C's were a few too many for sure.
I love the order of your poem. This was very creative KLGoode. It is fun to see the laughter mingled in with the hard hits. Maybe you could write one to an eye chart too. :) Just kidding. Loved this one.

Hey, that's a pretty good idea -- I will have to think on that:)
my confession is that i always left them soaking in the milk way too long...and then all the letters drooped into looking the same...

Ha a witty and original reworking of an old theme that is engaging and yet meaningful in a soulful way.
