Fall - by my blanket girl

Fall - by my blanket girl

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

a description of fall by my 7 year old

"
fall is a time
when leaves
come down
and friends
and family
gather round,

red
            orange
                         yellow
   green
                        brown

all the colours
on the ground,
ruffly leaves
in a big pile
jump in and
stay for a while!

Your little girl is so brilliant. She is taking right after her mom...this is priceless and precious. She could write kid books for other children while she is still but a child herself. I still read them too -smile. Lovely!

Thanks. I think you are right.
Your young lady is fast becoming my favorite poet of single digit age on the whole Earth.

Ask her if she has seen this one by another favorite of mine, Dr. Suess.

Upon an island hard to reach,
the East Beast sits upon his beach.
Upon the west beach sits the West Beast.
Each beach beast thinks he's the best beast.
Which beast is best?...Well, I thought at first
that the East was best and the West was worst.
Then I looked again from the west to the east
and I liked the beast on the east beach least.

This one tickles me ferociously.

Ah, another kindred spirit.
A genteel and whimsical description of the changing of the seasons. Is it Fall already in Cananda?

Ha our summer left by the back door when hurricane Bertha arrived!
Your child has a poet brewing inside of her. I really liked how you chose to set up the colored words, like the were leaves tumbling down from a tree in autumn. Beautiful work to you both.

Well then you get a kudos for making and raising her well. =D
This is exactly what I used to do living close to the maple trees and make mountains of leaves and then cover yourself, well that is until some crepy crawlies will start climbing through my body , can't stand the feeling. Incredible contrast with colour and form KL I love that sort of thing.

And becuase I really suck at jokes I might as well throw one as It can't hurnt anymore

Good time to turn over a new leaf.

(shakes head)

Thankyou

All of it was set up and said by my daughter. She directed the form and colours too
i like that..."jump in and/ stay for awhile"

absorbed in the feeling...colored mentality, crisp and beautiful.

Thanks, I think my kid has some pretty amazing ideas
Fall is my favorite season, with spring being a close second, in a way to me fall represents an out with the old and doing it in a beautiful way, what a fun little poem representing such a wonderful time of year.
